The Asian Confluence and Vietnam Institute for Indian & Southwest Asian Studies (VIISAS) signed an Memorandum of Understanding to promote closer cooperation and understanding between India and Vietnam , with special focus on India’s North east region and promoting India’s Act East Policy. In September 2018, the Vietnam Institute for Indian & Southwest Asian Studies in association with the Asian Confluence will host as seminar on the theme “INDIA’S RISE AND ITS IMPACT ON REGIONAL SECURITY ARCHITECTURE” in Hanoi. Vietnam and India are civilizational partners. Our North East region has strong links at the level of language and lifestyle with Vietnam. It is time we explore these further to promote greater people to people linkages between us.
