19th March 2019: Asian Confluence looks forward to a meaningful collaboration with Bangladesh based organisation, Asian Center for Development to promote relations among people, policy makers, researchers and academics in order to generate and exchange ideas for making Asia follow the path of sustainable development. An MoU has been signed between Dr. A K Enamul Haque, Executive Director, Asian Center for Development and Mr. Sabyasachi Dutta, Executive Director, Asian Confluence to develop joint and collaborative research and other activities for a period of three years with effect from December 31, 2018, in this regard.
To provide a background history, Asian Center for Development is established to promote better understanding and relations among the people, policy makers, researchers and academics in order to a ensure sustainable development path for Asia. Established in 2012, the Center is an independent organization established with generous support from individuals, organizations, academics, researchers and corporations. Individuals, organizations and universities around the world, also working on the same cause, may become members of the center.
Acknowledging a greater need in regional cooperation in the context of Eastern South Asia region, Mr. Sabyasachi Dutta, Executive Director, Asian Confluence said “Together, we should create a constructive discourse with a bottom's up approach, which will complement and bolster the other top down initiatives underway and further strengthen Indo-Bangla relations at a people-to-people level.”
According to the MoU, both the organisations will work on joint research activities, partnership activities, organising joint events, exchange programs for fellows and researchers and accommodating research interns.
