SHILLONG DIALOGUE
Shillong Dialogue as an initiative aims at rooting the major policy constructs that define the larger Eastern South Asia region, to the local developmental narrative in the North Eastern region. The dialogue enjoys support and participation of senior level leaders, government officials, experts and private sector players from the North Eastern Indian States and immediate neighbours of Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Myanmar and extending to the South East Asian Region. The platform convened by the Dialogue provides an opportunity and spaces to discuss and convene public and private players from across the region leading to concrete ideas and projects which can facilitate long term outcomes to lead to prosperity for the Eastern South Asia region and its people. The Asian Confluence envisages the Dialogue to emerge as an annual affair bringing together the North East and its neighbours on relevant issues, sectors and project ideas, leading to tangible outcomes and collaborations.
