This Case Study is prepared under the initiative titled “Mekong-Brahmaputra Conversation Series” implemented by the Asian Confluence in collaboration with the Heinrich Böll Foundation (HBF). The initiative sought to facilitate a process of engagement and sharing between experts and civil society leaders from the Brahmaputra/ Jamuna (India Bhutan and Bangladesh) and Mekong river basins. The idea is to create learning and exchange opportunities between the two basins and establish a strong foundation for collaboration. The study can then be recommended to governmental and civil society organizations in the concerned countries – for necessary action.
